&lt;p&gt;CAAA&amp;#39;s members are highly skilled advocates whose long years of education, concentrated training and practical experience give them the knowledge and understanding to assist the industrially injured worker through the legal, medical and governmental complexities of California&amp;#39;s Workers&amp;#39; Compensation System.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Many of CAAA&amp;#39;s attorney members are certified as specialists by the California State Bar. Armed with their expertise in the statutory scheme of workers&amp;#39; compensation laws, CAAA members work to secure full and just benefits for the injured and disabled worker and their families. The specified knowledge and skill is unmatched by any other organization, group or body of individuals in the State of California.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;CAAA&amp;#39;s membership is two-tiered made up of &lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/joincaaa/archive/2009/01/16/regular-membership.aspx"&gt;Regular Members&lt;/a&gt; and Associate Members.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Organization Design&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;CAAA&amp;rsquo;s Board of Governors establishes the policies and procedures for the Association. Consisting of the organization&amp;rsquo;s officers, Members-at-Large, Past Presidents, &lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/aboutcaaa/archive/2009/01/12/committees.aspx"&gt;Committee Chairs&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/aboutcaaa/archive/2009/01/11/chapters.aspx"&gt;Chapter Presidents&lt;/a&gt;, the Board encourages the widest possible participation and communication from all members of CAAA.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The more than twenty &lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/aboutcaaa/archive/2009/01/12/committees.aspx"&gt;working committees&lt;/a&gt; of the Board assist in the efficient management of CAAA. They cover areas including: Amicus Curiae, Consumer Information Service, DIR, Education, Ethics, Health &amp;amp; Safety, IMC, Labor, Latino Issues, Law Office Management, Legislative, Media, Membership, Seminars, Special Projects, and Technology. These committees provide detailed resources and recommendations for action by the Board.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Throughout the State, CAAA&amp;rsquo;s &lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/aboutcaaa/archive/2009/01/11/chapters.aspx"&gt;19 chapters&lt;/a&gt; are designed and organized to serve members locally. Representing Central Coast, Central Valley, Chico, Coachella Valley, East Bay, Greater Inland Empire, Harbor Area, Los Angeles Metropolitan, Los Angeles Valley, Monterey Bay, Orange County, Redwood Empire, Sacramento Valley, San Diego, SanFrancisco, Santa Clara County, Shasta, Southern California, Stockton, and the chapters provide frequent opportunities for continuing education, the exchange of information, and resources among members, along with quick and efficient communication throughout the organization.&lt;/p&gt;

In addition, the conventions offer unique opportunities for individual members to discussion new approaches, share information and resources, or simply socialize in a relaxing atmosphere&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/events/archive/2009/01/15/events.aspx"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Accredited Educational Seminars&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt; on Up-to-Date Issues Related to the Practice of Workers&amp;rsquo; Compensation and Industrial Medicine&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Professional Legislative Advocates&lt;/b&gt; at the State Capitol - review and analyze the effect on workers&amp;#39; compensation law of the more than 8,000 separate pieces of legislation introduced every session. Support or opposition is then actively and professionally pursued. CAAA also sponsors positive legislation designed to increase injured workers&amp;#39; benefits and strengthen their rights and protection. CAAA&amp;#39;s Legislative Staff is also working to expand legislative awareness of the growing categories of injuries and disabilities encountered in the workplace.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;a href="http://caaa.org/cs/blogs/committees/archive/2009/01/15/amicus-curiae-committee.aspx"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Amicus Curiae Committee&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt; - offers CAAA members knowledgeable, experienced appellate assistance. Participating in the appeal of potential precedent setting cases through the filing of Amicus briefs, Committee members will also assist in oral arguments if requested and are always ready to discuss a potential appeal or advise on the finer points of appellate practice.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Quarterly Magazine, &lt;i&gt;CAAAments&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; - the Association&amp;#39;s official publication keeps members up-to-date on legal, medical and legislative developments; provides opportunities to exchange information and resources; and offers advanced notice of upcoming seminars, conventions, meetings and more. CAAAments is published and distributed to the membership quarterly.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; * Comp Community Updates in &amp;ldquo;What&amp;rsquo;s Up With CAAA?&amp;rdquo;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Advice on the Latest Techniques&lt;/b&gt; on Workers&amp;rsquo; Compensation Cases&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Strategic Planning on the Future Trends of Workers&amp;rsquo; Compensation&lt;/b&gt; - devoted to anticipating trends, new developments and future changes in the area of workers&amp;#39; compensation and their effects on the workforce and the attorneys who serve them.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;LawNet&lt;/b&gt; - Information Sharing with Other Members through CAAA&amp;rsquo;s Statewide list service, LawNet, plus regional, and chapter list services&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Mentor Program&lt;/b&gt; - geared toward members who are new to the organization and the Workers&amp;#39; Compensation system. Mentors are provided to new members to serve as teachers or enhancers to his/her prot&amp;eacute;g&amp;eacute; and to provide a sounding board for ideas and direction. &lt;p&gt;Individuals (and groups) not eligible for regular membership of the Association may become eligible for associate membership if they meet one of the following requirements for associate membership:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Active member of the State Bar of California, in good standing, ineligible for regular membership in the Association; &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Physicians, as defined in Labor Code Section 3209.3, in good standing with their respective regulatory bodies, and who, whether or not are Qualified Medical Examiners, adhere to and comply with the requirements of Labor Code Sections 139.3, 139.4, 139.43, 139.45, and 4628;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Other individuals or organizations who do not represent or appear on behalf of injured workers before the Workers&amp;#39; Compensation Appeals Board, and who adhere to the objectives and purposes of our organization and who comply with all laws in an ethical manner. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Non-attorney associate members of CAAA include doctors, chiropractors, medical therapists, rehabilitation, and vocational specialists and counselors, all of whom are specifically trained in the tasks necessary to assist the injured or disabled worker to regain their rightful place in the work force. The associate membership also consists of med-legal vendors and specialized office services vendors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Associate Membership Dues:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Platinum &amp;ndash; $2200 - for companies with multiple listings, you also get a plaque and special recognition in our online directory and in the convention syllabi; &lt;br /&gt;Gold &amp;ndash; $1200 - for a single person and you get special recognition in our syllabi; &lt;br /&gt;Silver &amp;ndash; $850 - membership for a single person&lt;/p&gt;
